The Pinnacle Peak hike is located 30mins from Scottsdale, Arizona making it the perfect hike if you are in the area or if you will need to wait for your flight to leave the area or are just landing and looking to do something while you are in Phoenix or Scottsdale!

To get here you will need to go to Pinnacle Peak Park "Pinnacle Peak Park, 26802 N 102nd Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85262, United States". There is a gated community right at the trailhead. I thought you we had to go through the gate but the parking lot is on your left.

There is plenty of free parking here and has year round hiking. Be sure to bring plenty of water if you are coming in the summer months as the hike has no facilities.

Sadly there are no dogs allowed so be mindful of that.

What to Expect

This hike is very short and easy hike there is modest elevation gain. But the hike is smooth easy to follow trail.

You can expect to find well maintained trails, with moderately steep sections. This is a very popular hike for hikers, runner and rock climbers.

There are moderately steep sections and around the 1/2 mile mark you will start to get beautiful views.

And dont worry there are plenty of cactuses and wildlife!

Also the sunsets are beautiful from the parking lot!
