Koh Nang Yuan
Koh Nang Yuan is Located just off the coast of Koh Tao. In order to get here you will need to pop by Saree Beach on Koh Tao and hire a boat. The boat costs are typically between 150 - 200 baht (6-10 USD) for a round trip. The thing to remember the last boats go back to Koh Tao at 5! There is no need to book in advance as there are plenty of water taxis available!
There is also an entrance fee of 100 baht (3 USD) to enter the island.
It is home to Koh Tao's most famous view point the Koh Nang Yuan Viewpoints!
This island has plenty to offer for a day trip! It is the perfect place for pristine beaches and snorkelling if you are looking to learn to scuba dive in Koh Tao consider going to the island and booking your open water scuba here.
The reason I say this is while I was at Koa Tao because there are so many Dive shops they all have an agreement to keep 1 price (at the time 11 000 baht for open water dive certificate) but being a separate island they maintained a lower price while shuttling us every day to the island at 9000 baht.
Now to get back to the view point!
It only takes about 15 minutes to get to the viewpoint. You walk across the beach to a board walk with a short climb up. Id recommend going to the island early in the day as the view point gets crowded with everyone wanting to make the climb.
Few quick things to note when coming to the island. They do not allow plastic water bottles, flip flops or water shoes allowed on the island and will be confiscated so remember to leave them in the boat for your trip home.
The turquoise blue water and white sandy beaches Koh Nang Yung is well worth the journey over whether you spend a half day or full day its well worth the trip over!
