Dragon's Crest Hike
A guide to getting to the Dragon Crest Hike (Kgon Nak Nature Trail)

Directions
To get to the hike it is approximately 35-40 minute drive from Krabi and even closer to Ao Nang. to get there input the address "6024, Tambon Nong Thale, Amphoe Mueang Krabi, Chang Wat Krabi 81000, Thailand" this will bring you right to the trail head. It is right at the end of 6024 road.
At the trailhead after parking there is a booth where you need to pay the 200 baht entrance fee to . Here you can buy water and snacks.
There are a couple of additional sights along the way you can take a detour on and check out including a creek and a waterfall
What To Expect
The trail is very well marked and easy to follow. This is not a technical hike but due to the elevation gain and how hot and humid it is it can be physically challenging to those who aren't big hikers so be sure to pack lots of water and good footwear.
The start of the trail is very wide and has a couple sets of stairs. After this the trail becomes steeper, more rooty and rockier. There is a beautiful view point halfway up that overlooks the oceans coastline and country side.
The best view point and objectively scarier rocky outcrop is absolutely beautiful overlooking beautiful limestone outcrops and countryside. Most days can be foggy and can take some time for the fog to burn off id recommend beating the crowds and getting to the trail early to have the views all to yourself.
I had to do this hike twice cause the first time hiking the trail the views past the half way point were non existent with the fog.
